Welcome to
Association of
Building Compliance

Established in 1998 the Association of Building Compliance (ABC) is the only IQP representative body in New Zealand. ABC’s membership includes Independently Qualified Persons (IQPs), Council Staff and Compliance Managers. ABC provides members with support, information and training by industry experts in Building Compliance matters.

Regularly scheduled meetings are currently held in Auckland, Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch and enable general networking and education between members. Representatives from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment regularly attend as speakers or guests and ABC lobby’s Government in regard to Building Compliance issues and matters. As membership grows, ABC will look to holding additional meetings in other regions.

Attending an Association meeting provides members with the opportunity to meet other IQP providers, key Council members and Experts in Building Compliance, to compliment roles in the Building Warrant of Fitness (BWOF) Industry. Members get to meet and learn from guest speakers, have pressing questions answered, obtain another’s opinion and enjoy personal and industry professional development, whilst easily networking with others involved in the BWOF process.
