About Association of Building Compliance

ABC Conference 2019

The ABC Conference 2019 is being held on 18 and 19 September 2019 at the Ellerslie Event Centre, Ascot Ave, Auckland.  This is going to be a not-to-be missed event, so register today to take advantage of the early bird discounted price......

This year the theme is Back (Look) to the Future.  Challenges have arrived!  High Level of Council Audits! Enforcements! Infringements!  Are we keeping up with these challenges?

Back to the future for the compliance industry would relate to us constantly being pulled back or living in the past with obsolete technology and systems in existing buildings, non-practice or sustainable solutions, poor record keeping etc.  There have been many lessons from the past but we need to LOOK TO THE FUTURE.

How do we do this?  We are now required to have proof of knowledge, greater transparency and higher accuracy and traceability of records.  We need to be looking to new technology such as electronic record keeping, sustainable and better performing systems - we need to be working smarter, not harder.
