The Inside Word - July 2023

A Word from the Chair

As we venture into the second half of the year, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continuous support and dedication to the Association of Building Compliance. The ABC Committee and staff have been very busy working on the final touches to our annual conference. I would like to thank them all for the efforts they have all put in for the benefit of our members.  This event is our unique opportunity to come together, share knowledge, and forge new connections within our industry. With ever-evolving regulations and advancements in technology, it is crucial that we stay up to date with the happenings in our field. I encourage each and every one of you to mark your calendars and join us for this enriching experience, whether it be online or in person. Together, we can pave the way for a safer and more sustainable built environment. See you all soon!

A Word from the Chief Executive

I would just like to take this opportunity to talk about some of the recent changes that have taken place at ABC. We have recently unveiled our new website complete with member profiles. The new site allows everyone to register for training and regional forum online which replaces the need to download manual forms. It also means that the registration links to your member profile to ensure we have your dietary needs for all the courses and forums you attend and it also automatically records your CPD for those events. No more waiting for certificates from us. You can download your CPD record at any time.

For those of you that have not accessed it before, please go to our website to log in using your email that you have with us and click on reset password. You will then be asked to put in a new password to give you access to your member profile. Please update your profile with your preferences.

We have also transferred our online training course, Compliance Fundamentals, to a Moodle platform to align with the rest of the education fraternity. This will be available in the coming days.

Trent Fearnley, Chief Executive Officer
